Reusable Packaging Europe (RPE) represents the interests of companies active in the area of reusable transport packaging systems, primarily Reusable Packaging Containers (RPCs) and Reusable Wooden Pallets (RWPs), towards the European Union.
How reusable packaging is building Europe’s future supply chains
RPE showcases how reusable packaging is transforming Europe’s supply chains. From pallets and crates to trays and containers, these circular models keep goods moving efficiently, sustainably, and reliably, reducing waste, cutting emissions, and supporting resilient logistics across the continent.
Reuse is not just theory, but practice in action, proving that circular solutions can drive both environmental impact and economic competitiveness.
The European Union aims to become a global frontrunner in the transition to a circular economy. With the European Green Deal the European Commission launched a new strategy for a climate-neutral, resource-efficient and competitive economy. As acknowledged in the Green Deal, achieving a climate neutral economy is heavily dependent on its circularity.
More specifically, the European Commission’s Circular Economy Action Plan, published in March 2020, sets out an ambitious strategy to streamline the regulatory framework and achieve a sustainable and circular future. RPE is fully committed to contribute to the EU’s transition towards a circular economy and and aims to take a frontrunner role with stakeholders and partners on this topic.
