Reusable Packaging Europe (RPE), together with 78 other organisations from the reusable packaging sector, fully supports the European Commissionโs ambition to reduce packaging waste.
We call on the European Parliament and the Council of the EU to ensure that the forthcoming implementing acts on labelling under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) establish a clear, enforceable and credible reuse symbol. Such a symbol must strengthen trust, prevent greenwashing, and reflect the operational realities of reuse systems, including reusable transport packaging (RTP).
RPE and its partners are convinced that a robust reuse symbol will play a crucial role in advancing circularity, safeguarding high return rates, and promoting genuine reuse across Europe.
